Our toughest test to date at Haye Road against one of the favourites to win the league was a thrilling encounter and a game to remember coming out on top 3 - 0 winners.
The game began and ended at a fast pace and for most of the game possession was even and with such a lively Spear strike force meant we had to keep our concentration and could not relax with such a potential threat.
Spear had not anticipated our desire and mental strength to cope with the demands the game made. Our strength throughout was with the team work ethic that gave us the edge against a more individualistic team that slowly fell apart as we refused to give way.
Toby was called on to make some crucial stops and his handling was of the highest order, from defensive situations we swiftly counter attacked with deep penetrating passes eagerly recieved from the energetic joe jasper; from one such play our break through came when Joe crossed for Jordan who nipped in front of their sprawled keeper to score at close rannge.
Spear came close but were reduced to taking long range efforts with some outstanding defensive performances from Lee, Martin, Jake and Thurks in top form; And it was from one our inspirational defenenders 'Thurks' who made it 2 - 0 when coolly dispatching a brilliant disguised free kick that flew into the corner after Joe had been hauled down 20 yards from goal.
Sammy and Jordan ensured we had an outlet from wide areas; their pace and movement caused Spear untold problems; From the middle Simo, Vanerz and Tuky gave a football lesson to their Spear counterparts and were in no mood to take second best.
At 2 -0 up we still remained hungry for more goals and capitalised with continued pressure; our efforts were rearded just before half time when Joe made it 3 - 0 to ease some worries. Joe raced through from a penetrating pass and after forcing a mistake form their keeper slid the ball home from 2 yards and eased us furhter in front.
The second half saw us defend more at length with Spear 'throwing' everything they had, including changing formations to go 3-4-3 but all to no avail; We withstood their efforts with solid performances and refused to entertain a Spear revival.
An excellent team performance resulted in a great win; well done to all this is our best performance and it is vital to use this momentum to carry us forward all the way.

This game at Sheridan was arguably the best team performance we have seen to date, with great one -two touch passing and movement on one of the worst pitches in the league. An almost similar score line resulted in the home game against the same side when running out 5-1 winners at Hay Road: Goal scorers then Jordan 3, Joe & Tucky; MoM: Tuky
We outplayed Kitto for the the majority of the game their only goal coming via the crossbar and bouncing off Simo after a free kick was directed toward the back post. This minor set back was after we had taken early chances and converted clinically by our impressive strikers Jordan and Joe to make it 2-1.
Thurks and Piercey were in excellent form and responsible again for our third after great build up play on the left flank gave Jordan opprtunity to make his second.
The first fifteen minutes of the second half was slightly more even until further goals were added through Joe and Brad. The team performance from this game certainly outweighed the result; An inspirational game from the middle with Simo and Leezo at the heart of the defence ensured our unbeaten tag remains intact.
An excellent result against a battling Kitto also means we continue to put pressure on Bere; our biggest test next week against Spear who we have not yet played, but a result is crucial to our chances if we are to win the league.
